The rules of the game are mixed. Board game Smash Up

Well, I’ve played dozens of hours of Zames, so I can, so to speak, announce the verdict! Please note that the verdict is as strict as possible! :D I really liked the game. I bought it together with the add-on "Kamash. The inevitable issue about Cthulhu." Interesting rules and various combination options will not let you get bored for a long time. The rules are very simple and clear, both the youngest and the oldest will understand! If you want to spend your free time with interest, then I definitely recommend buying it. The box size is not very big, so you can take it on the road! In conclusion: I am very pleased with the purchase and don’t regret the money spent one bit, it’s worth it.

Kneading is love at first batch!! The game fell into our hands by chance, we were interested in the bases, captures, factions. We thought it would be monotonous, but how wrong we were!!! In each game, two random factions are mixed into the players' deck!! And changing from game to game even just one faction in your hand, you are surprised at how the whole strategy suddenly changes! Each faction is unique! Zombies rise from the discard pile, pirates swim from base to base, robots want to overrun the world and cause a machine uprising, aliens bring back minions or change bases, ninjas appear completely unexpectedly when you least expect them, pranksters change the properties of bases and force opponents to reset random ones cards from your hand, dinosaurs are huge and strong, wizards have many spells! Super! The game is very simple, but how addictive! The first five games were played quite quickly, but then, having assessed all the advantages and disadvantages, they began to think through moves and create incredible combinations, the game began to take much more time! But in no case does it get boring and you won’t get bored with her. By the way, they used to play not according to standard rules, but according to their own. Our move took a circle. We made a first player token. And the capture of the base occurred only after the circle ended and everyone made their move. The cards were picked up accordingly all at the same time after the end of the circle. They started playing according to the standard rules when they purchased the Pretty Pretty add-on.

I thought the game would be reminiscent of Munchkin, but it pleasantly surprised me with its features and characters. I even had to spend some time working on the rules, and the game itself takes a decent amount of time, but it doesn’t tire me out at all! I recommend!

I bought this game after one of the game libraries. The game is super, really addictive and will not let you get bored. Very nice design and simple rules. In my opinion, a very good option for a company of 4 people, but you can also play with two people

About the product expand_more

Why is kneading needed?

Robots, dinosaurs, zombies and pirates are already tired of looking for a master, and aliens, pranksters, ninjas and wizards cannot decide with whom to ally and with whom to fight! So let's choose two races and arrange a real military “Match”!

In the box with the board game “Kneading” you will find 8 warriors with very different characters and behavioral characteristics, who will lead you to victory. The winner in a game of 2 to 4 people will be the participant who first earns 15 victory points in the fight for strategically important game points - military bases.

How to get to the base... and why?

Each base has its own threshold "resistance" number, which you can see in the upper left corner of the base map. It can vary from 12 to 25 units of strength. The base is considered conquered if the total strength of the warriors of ALL participants exceeds or is equal to the “resistance” threshold of the base.

When a base is captured, the player whose warrior strength is higher than that of his opponents takes first place and receives base victory points for the capture leader. The second and third players get their points, but the fourth is always left with nothing, just like the player who did not take part in capturing the base at all.

Not all bases are as simple as they seem at first glance - some have both beneficial and harmful properties. Thus, the Think Tank gives each minion living here +1 strength. After capturing the Rhodes Plaza Shopping Center, each player receives one point for each minion present there. The Ninja School has a “resistance” threshold of 18, but the player who takes first place during a capture will receive 2 points, and the one who takes second will receive 3. Moreover, the leader of the capture, after conquering the base, is able to destroy any one minion placed by his opponents. On the Home Planet, you can play an additional minion every turn, and in the Dungeon Treasury it is not profitable to destroy opponents - for each destroyed minion, the owner of the warrior will receive 1 victory point.

Quick Warfare Instruction

Do you want to start capturing yet? Then here are your instructions for attack! On their turn, each player can play one action and one minion from their hand in any order. Player A, who has mixed up rogue robots in his army, begins an attack. For example, Microbot Alpha - a minion of the robot faction - went to conquer the "Underground Treasury", and with the action "Case - Pipe", played on the "Underground Treasury", the active player forces all opponents who try to send warriors to capture this base, discard a card from their hand . After the turn is completed, the active player draws two cards from his own “batch”, and the turn passes to the player on the left, who will have a completely different tactic, because he plays for the Ninja Dinosaurs!

The strategy you choose in the board game "Mash" is most often determined by your army, created by mixing two faction decks. Each faction has its own tricks and methods of attack, so it's worth talking about it in more detail.

How dwarves play pranks and pirates travel

Meet the pirates and pirate girls. Pirates cannot imagine themselves without traveling, so they wander endlessly from base to base, and some (such as Buccaneer) can attack bases at the most unexpected moment for their opponents!

Robots, zapbots and microbots are minions clinging to each other, which is why it is sometimes possible to play up to three robot warriors per turn on one base. Microbots also interact with each other, adding bonuses to each other’s strength - +1 for each microbot at the base!

Aliens have their own methods of attack - sometimes completely unknown. For example, the Invader allows you to gain 1 point when introduced into battle, and the actions allow you to probe the opponent’s “hand”, invade the territory, or ignore the properties of the base.

Ninjas successfully use a smoke screen and camouflage, but their main strength is attack in its original form. Exactly half of this faction's minions - Assassins and Ninja Sensei - are geared to attack, and Shinobi are allowed to unexpectedly attack a captured base even when it's not their turn.

Wizards are a faction where everyone casts spells. Neophytes, Sorceresses, Chronomages and Mages - all faction characters allow you to play action spells. More minions - more spells! More spells - more cards in your hand and choice of strategy for the war!

Gremlins, Gnomes and Leprechauns have joined the ranks of the Pranksters faction. You can create real chaos with these guys, because they force the enemy not only to discard cards blindly, but also destroy even the most powerful spells, prepare fire traps for their opponents and other dirty tricks. One thing is clear - it won’t be boring!

Dinosaurs are the biggest monsters in the Batch. The Lizard King has as many as 7 power points, and the Battle Raptors can easily be taken and trampled in numbers. Beware: if one of them howls, each of the raptor minions will receive +1 strength. And if the dinosaurs are attacked by a rampage, not a single base will survive: tested by all armored saurs on the planet.

Zombies are not residents, this is clear to everyone. Therefore, no matter how much you kill them, you will not get rid of them - they strive to cause “mayhem” and plunder graves. “Give me your hand” - and shuffle as many cards from the destroyed zombies into your deck as you like. And here they are with you again - your favorite pesters, walkers, grave diggers and even the Lord of the Zombies.

You can endlessly argue about who is cooler - robot lizards or ninja aliens, but we strongly advise you to try to fight in each of the “mixes” in order to experience all the delights of combining factions and a huge number of strategies when playing for each army. "Zames" is a board game that has already acquired several additions, one of which is already available in Russian - this is the addition "Kames: The Inevitable Cthulhu Edition", which expands the number of participants in the game to 6 people. And the addition will give you 4 new factions and madness cards, which means there will be even more “mixes” and fighting will be even more interesting!

Build your deck and start a mess!

“Kneading” is a board card game where you have to unite the most incredible creatures under your banner: maybe it will be zombie aliens? Or robot dinosaurs? Or maybe ninja pranksters (played pranks - a couple of corpses to take away!)? Or pirate wizards?

As you understand, the board game “Kneading” got its name not only because you have to fight for military bases in blood, but also because the principle of the game is based on mixing your military deck with a variety of properties and creatures.

Blooper, the deck is stacked!

Now it’s time to start a war for profitable territories, represented by military bases with different features. For example, these could be Tar Pits, where each of your destroyed warriors does not die at all, but is placed at the bottom of the deck, or an Oasis in the Jungle, which will bring the conqueror two victory points, or maybe a School of Magic, the owner of which will be able to choose a new base to replace the captured one.

Who will win?

Who will be the first to score 15 points! Attention: for capturing each base you get a certain number of points or some special advantages, so the goal of the board game “Kamash” is to capture as many profitable bases as possible with your minions.

How to capture bases?

On your turn you can do:

1) Action from the card. This could be moving your own or someone else’s minion to someone else’s base, destroying a minion, drawing a card, increasing the strength of your minion, and so on;

2) Minion placement. You can place one of your warriors from your hand on any of the three laid out bases. A minion can also have special properties that affect the game.

Each minion has a power. And every base has strength. If the sum of the forces of all minions (both yours and the enemy) is equal to or greater than the strength of the base, it is captured and points are distributed. First place goes to the one whose wars are the strongest at the base, second place goes to whoever has the strength of the second place, and so on. If several players have the same amount of power, they receive an equal number of points.

Whoever is second is golden

The trick of the board game “Kamester” is that not at all bases the one who is the strongest will win the most points, sometimes the first one gets 2 points, and the second one gets 3, so you need to be able to balance in this treacherous war on the brink, waiting for successful combat opportunities for your army, and each time you can play for new characters - decide for yourself whether your dinosaurs will become pranksters, pirates, or maybe even wizards.

What's included?

  • 8 factions of 20 cards each
  • 16 base maps
  • 32 victory point cards
  • Rules of the game

What's actually going on in this game? It's a complete mess! Each player controls two random factions, each of which has special properties and somehow magically combines with each other. Everything is very simple and terribly funny: dinosaurs, robots, pirates, ninjas, wizards, aliens, zombies and pranksters gather, take all their minions and the necessary gadgets, and let's destroy enemy bases! It’s better for us not to know who their enemies are; we’d better separate that leprechaun from the zombies first.

Sounds crazy, I want to play!

Then start, you will figure it out as you go: on the last page of the positive booklet with the rules there is “The Most Important Thing”, these short instructions are just enough to get you started:

  • First, distribute the cards, everyone will have piles of 40, and their hands will initially have 5;
  • Lay out the bases in front of everyone: one base per player plus one spare;
  • On your turn, you can play a card from your hand, capture a base, or draw new cards;
  • To capture a base, you need to use special cards to defeat its strength. This can be done by everyone together, but only three will receive points for a defeated base, those who spent more effort on its destruction. If someone gets to 15 points, that’s it, they win, you can play again or move on to other games.

These cards are a must see

Firstly, they are perfectly illustrated - the game looks very bright and cool. Every member of the faction or minions is absolutely bonkers. Artists, board game aesthetes and simply creative people will appreciate “Kneading”, so you can give it not only to gamers and cheerful friends. The cards are also stuffed with all sorts of cool properties, numbers, symbols - this is the case when a bunch of components can be replaced with words. This is the convenience of the game: everything you need to do will be told by the cards, not the rules in three volumes. That’s why it’s easy and convenient to take the game with you to parties, trips, visits, or even on the train.

By the way, “Zames” is not alone

He has the Munchkin Batch add-on. You can play it as a standalone game or add it to the main box - try it, it will be even more fun! There are also monsters, treasures, cheating and old acquaintances of Munchkin lovers.

Board game "Kneading" is a vibrant card game in which the player will have to control two different factions. Each of these factions has its own unique capabilities. The game was invented by Paul Peterson.

The goal of the game in the board game Kneading

  • The first one to score 15 points wins.

Board game Kneading: rules of the game

  • Each player shuffles 2 different factions of 20 cards into 1 deck.
  • Each player can perform one action on their turn, choose one minion, or choose both.
  • The player selects a base and places a minion card. And it carries out all the actions that are written on it.
  • If a player has chosen an action, then he shows everyone his action card and does what is written on it. This card is then discarded.
  • Don't forget to check the bases that can be captured and keep track of the scores of all players - maybe someone has already won!
  • After the move, the player takes 2 cards into his hand from his deck. The number of cards in your hand should not exceed 10. If there are any extra, discard them.
  • If the deck is empty, I will shuffle my discard pile.
  • The base is ready to be captured when the combat strength of the minions is equal to its defense.

Hobby World offers to decide which expansion will be released next for the card game “Kneading” by voting. Leave your vote in the publishing house community on the VKontakte social network.

The following additions are under consideration:

Each expansion contains 4 new factions with their own characteristics, very different from each other, as well as 8 new bases.

1. Smash Up: Awesome Level 9000.

Cossacks on bears, killer plants, ghosts and steampunks go into battle. The bear cavalry is so terrifying that enemy minions flee in panic from attacked bases, killer plants multiply like weeds if their numbers are not controlled, ghosts are stronger the fewer cards their owner has in their hand, and steampunks can easily generate new base abilities.

2. Smash Up: Pretty Pretty Smash Up.

Do you think only robots, pirates and ninjas can capture bases? Be careful when dealing with the cute fighters from this expansion! Using their charm, kittens are able to confuse any opponent, princesses will do anything to get what they want, while mythical horses combine well with each other. And fairy tricks are a whole separate issue!

3. Smash Up: Science Fiction Double Feature.

You will find even wilder factions in this add-on! Time travelers allow you to use played cards over and over again, cyborg monkeys will take your minions to the next level, super spies are able to hack opponents' decks, as well as spy on their own. Mutants copy the most powerful minions in the game!

4. Smash Up: Monster Smash.

Terrible monsters are eager to take over the world! Vampires use enemy minions for their own purposes, mad scientists have discovered the secret of resurrecting the dead and created creepy Frankensteins, the incredible strength of werewolves can confuse any enemy, and giant ants, acting like a well-coordinated mechanism, quietly spread power and become truly indestructible!

  • Briefly about the game Smash Up. Before the game, each player takes cards from two factions and shuffles them into his deck. Base cards are gradually laid out in the center of the table, the capture of which brings victory points. Players draw cards from decks into their hands, play minion cards, sending them into bases to break down defenses, and help themselves with action cards. Each base brings points to the first three players in terms of total minion strength, while the fourth is left with nothing. The player who manages to score 15 points before others wins.
